MOTION DESIGNER

WHO LOVES MOTION DESIGN, ANIMATION, FX & STORYTELLING

Humdinger Studio is looking for a Motion Designer to join our creative team in Minneapolis. You’ll be concepting and executing motion design across a wide spectrum of brands and mediums. From leading edge consumer tech to next gen software platforms, your animation, FX, and design skills will be used to bring ideas to life in smart and unexpected ways.This role calls for someone with a strong design sense and a love for visual storytelling.

You should take a creative approach to a range of video and film projects including online videos, product demos, tutorials, interface animations, and 3D work. You should be curious, adaptable, and excited about exploring the possibilities of emerging tools like Runway, Veo 3, and Higgsfield.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Animate product demos, promos, explainers, UI motion, and more

• Design frames, storyboards, and motion concepts

• Bring creative ideas to life through smart, effective animation

• Explore AI-assisted motion tools and help us apply them to real client work

• Work with editors, designers, and 3D artists as part of a tight creative team

• Keep up with trends in motion, design, and creative technology

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 to 6 years of experience in professional motion design

• Strong portfolio with polished, expressive animation work

• Comfort working independently and managing your own time

• Excellent skills in Adobe After Effects

• Experience with 3D workflows, especially Cinema 4D, is a big plus

• Familiarity with AI motion tools or an interest in exploring them

• Strong attention to detail and a high creative bar

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree and/or related experience in an art or design-related field
