MOTION LEAD

WHO LOVES MOTION DESIGN, ANIMATION, FX & STORYTELLING

Humdinger & Sons is searching for a Motion Artist Lead who has a flair for concepting and animating beautiful work across our full line of tech-based clients. This is for a full-time position at our flagship studio in Minneapolis.

You’ll be responsible for leading and executing motion design within Humdinger Studio. From smart lightbulbs to astonishing AI platforms, your fx, animation, and design skills will be needed over a large realm of innovative and creative mediums. You should take a creative and unique approach to a range of video & film projects including online videos, product demos, tutorials, interface animations, and 3D animations.

Our ideal candidate should have 7+ years of design agency experience with strong knowledge of the full adobe video suite. You should have a love for design and storytelling. Your ability to work independently is of the utmost importance. Please provide a kickass portfolio that exhibits excellent use of animation and video design. This is a senior position that requires an ability to see projects through while leading a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead for Humdinger Studio Motion and 3D animation

• Lead and contribute to concepts and ideation for campaigns and products.

• Provides direction for projects from concept to completion.

• Active lead motion FX designer in all things digital

• Participate on shoots and help direct

• Works with music, voice-over, and sound effects.

• Develop concepts using a variety of pre-visualization methods such as sketches, storyboards and animatics.

• Support the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects. 

Requirements

• Complete and full understanding of the entire Adobe Suite

• Strong conceptual and design skills

• Extremely self-sufficient

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree and/or related experience in an art or design-related field

Bonus Round

• Shooting and editing skills

• Cinema 4D or similar 3D

• Audio design and/or mastering
